Hands-on systems work—IoT access control and enterprise-style network design.

  • Smart locker system demo showing access control and status monitoring

    Smart locker system

Built an IoT smart locker platform that combines embedded hardware with application software for secure access control. The system handles user authentication, locker assignment, scheduling, and real-time status monitoring so administrators can see which units are available, reserved, or in use. I integrated sensors and control logic on the device side with a backend workflow for logging events and managing access rules—focused on reliability, clear state transitions, and a setup that could scale to multiple lockers in a shared space.

  • Network topology diagram with segments, boundaries, and connectivity

    Network systems project

Designed and documented a multi-segment network architecture covering topology, addressing, security zones, and failover paths. Mapped how traffic flows between internal subnets, edge devices, and external services; defined firewall and boundary rules to limit lateral movement; and analyzed resilience options such as redundant links and recovery procedures. Delivered diagrams and written analysis that explain how the network stays available under common failure scenarios and how security controls align with each layer of the stack.
